Take the Train To Rotary Convention
If you are going to the RI International Convention in Los Angeles, you might want to consider traveling there by train along with a group of Rotarians from our District and from District 5020 to the North of us.
Mary Jo Strom Copland of the Travel Company in Tacoma has reserved some space on a train leaving June 11th and arriving in Los Angeles on June 12th and returning to the Northwest leaving LA on June 19th and arriving on June 20th.
The train leaves Portland at 2:25 PM on the 11th and leaves Salem at 3:37 PM arriving at 9:00 PM the next evening in Los Angeles. The return trip the train leaves LA at 10:15 AM and arrives the next day at Salem at 2:03 PM and Portland 3:40 PM.
The worst case scenario from Portland is $287.40 per person train and roomette roundtrip based on double occupancy (in the roomette). From Salem worst case is $302.90 based on double occupancy of the roomette. The fares may be less than that.
