Who taught you how to ride a bike or tie a tie? Not every child has someone in their life to offer sound guidance. Volunteer to be a mentor today and change the life of a child right here in our community!
Our speaker this week is Robin Handly, an AmeriCorps member serving with Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Pacific County.
The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Washington is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Their vision is that all children achieve success in life.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is actively recruiting potential Bigs in our area. To ensure a positive outcome for all involved, Bigs are asked to commit to one year of service, meet with their Little at least once a week.
Adults interested in becoming a volunteer Big should expect to fill out an application, provide two references, submit to a background check and an interview process. Once approved as Bigs, volunteers are given an orientation and training, and then matched with a Little.
