Here’s to all volunteers, those dedicated people who believe in all work and no pay. –Robert Orben
At Peninsula Rotary, we are continually grateful for the people who give precious time to help others. It’s volunteer participation and support that builds the community we call home. We believe that no one is more cherished than someone who lightens the burden of another.
Volunteers fuel our vision of a peaceful world where everyone has a decent place to live, enough food to eat, clean water, education, and medical assistance. They do so by building relationships; volunteers get to see smiles on the faces of those they serve as they work side by side to realize the dream where a family can grow stronger and more self-reliant.
In honor of the 100th Anniversary of the Rotary Foundation, we want to thank and acknowledge the best of our Peninsula Volunteers.
Volunteers are the only human beings on the face of the earth who reflect this nation’s compassion, unselfish caring, patience, and just plain loving one another. ~Erma Bombeck
Volunteers bring a wide range of contributions to the table. It could be seasoned skills or raw energy. It could be fundraising power or field expertise. They could be one-off contributions or on-going commitments. Day in and day out, they make extraordinary sacrifices. Regardless of the particular contribution or the duration of that volunteer’s presence, we want to thank and acknowledge your best.
